Lying at the end of the West Kennet Avenue, alongside the A4 on Overton Hill, the Sanctuary at Avebury sadly now just consists of circles of concrete marker posts. According to archaeologists the site was constructed and modified in a number of phases, with eight rings in total - six wooden post rings and two stone circles.
