Moving with a forward motion,

Growing with each passing day,

Side step, glide step, leaping, dipping,

Gaining speed along the way.

Side trips are a sweet diversion.

Short hiatus. That's okay.

Sometimes needed, always welcome,

Brief vacation from the fray.

 

Back in step and onward marching,

Arms at ready for attack.

Struggling to make the front,

To be the leader of the pack.

Reaching out to those who need us,

Unafraid to take the flack.

Not forgetting where we came from...
