Update

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and not too frustrated with the current world events.

I would firstly like to apologise for my extended absence and lack of interaction on social media for the last few months. Unfortunately, my dad took a turn for the worse. His cancer spread viciously and he was hospitalized amidst the covid lockdown.

Due to travel restrictions, I wasn't able to get back to the UK to see him and he sadly passed away just three months after being hospitalized. It was a very sad and traumatic time for my family and I and it has taken me a few months to feel ready to face the world. He was a twin and we also lost his identical brother eleven days after he left us. They were just a month away from celebrating their sixty-second birthday.

I couldn't get in the head space to write for a while and my projects were left in various states of completion. After giving myself some time to heal, I went back to a story that I'd had for over two years and was able to complete it. My dad was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and I think his deterioration was playing on my mind for most of the time I was writing the story.

I didn't realize how much I was subconsciously worrying about him and I think the book included more family issues and relationships between father and daughter than I'd set out to write. That being said, I am happy with the final and hope you enjoy the story as much as I did.

It's out now on Amazon in paperback and Kindle versions. WAGs to Bitches is the title. I tired to keep it light-hearted and include some humor. It's not a book about death or being morbid, but enjoying life and valuing the people in it.

Other main themes include romance, self acceptance, mental health issues, career and social class. Underneath it all, we often find we are just the same and trying to be the best versions of ourselves we can be. How we are brought up, schooled and our prejudices can colour our lives but we always have the ability to change or defunct from the norm.

This is another LGBTQA+ story that I am thankful for being able to write. I honestly didn't think I would finish it so that in itself has been a great victory.

I hope you enjoy reading it. Much love and light to you.
