“You didn’t even realize it was your birthday, did you?” Roderick asked, leaning back on his elbows, still balanced against the steps of the giant pool. I hadn’t seen them before, but below us, and extending to the deeper end, the pool floor had colored tiles creating mosaics of masculine bodies.
