This is the only book that I have read by journalist and interviewer of Presidents of the USA, Bob Woodward.
The quotes that are attributed to President Trump throughout the book completely mirror what we see in videos and read about in other news platforms. I am therefore inclined to think of this book as presenting as
balanced a report that any American journalist can produce about President Donald Trump.
I appreciated the process that Mr Woodward took to the work of engaging his subject towards finding out his inner workings to his role as leader of his country.
Mr Woodward demonstrated patience, in waiting for interviews; he demonstrated perceptiveness in how a President may be occupied with pressing matters of state, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, live engagement with North Korea and the impending USA election for President.
My most memorable moment in the book came from comments of associates of Mr Trump as they did not try to present a hagiography, but a person who can and does present infuriating, and worse, characteristics.
I have noticed that this publication has generated other published materials to influence readers how to read the book or to present highlights.
Reading this was a good investment of my time and I think a pertinent addition to books about leaders in the USA.
