I'm happily working my way through Second Thoughts, which is the light, funny story of a personal assistant (Phoenix) and a movie star (Harper, introduced in my last book). I hope to have it for you in November if all goes according to plan.
The thing that's a little odd is that, for the first time in my seven-year career, I don't know what I want to write next.
I'm very much a "write what inspires me" author. It just doesn't work for me to randomly plan ahead to write a certain character at a certain time. I need to have that spark, that "a-ha moment" where the next story clicks into place for me.
That's why it took me ages to write Gabriel's story. I had to wait for it to click, which it finally did when one of my readers gave me a great idea for his love interest (the result of that is
Second Nature, my most recent release).
So, if there's a story/character/couple you've been wishing for, now is a really good time to throw it at me. You never know what might be the thing that makes me shout, "Yes! That's my next book!" Emails are always welcome at AlexaLandWrites at gmail, and I also encourage you to join the discussion in my
Facebook reader's group.

Have you ever thought about writing a collection of short stories about adoptions? I`d like to read about some of the characters becoming parents, like Shea and Christian (their mention in Second nature was really interesting) or Beck and Lee, who, I think, have plans to adopt too.
Before reading Second act I believed that Tracy and Gabriel were more than friends. But, obviously, my intuition was wrong. Would you ever consider giving Tracy a HEA?
