Book 4 on its way
Now the initial trilogy of Oslac's Odyssey is completed, I've moved to the other side of the curtain. So far, we've been very much behind it, seeing the machinery that runs everything; now we get to step onto the stage and see what the characters' lives are like when they're playing their parts.
In book 4, now one-third of the way through writing, we enter the world of the Dragons of Mithgryr. We were introduced to them in book 2, and some of the characters from that story make a return (leader of the Crada dragons, Gorthan, his partner Herutha and his sometimes oppositional second, Brathyr) but they are joined by a raft of others: there's Darthyn, the curious adventurer from Crada who offers to risk life and limb to carry the humans to the new continent; Susan, leader of the human colony who looks for ways to help both humans and dragons to a better future; the dying dragons of Selesis who hide secrets and whose king, Warzak, is under the thumb of the head of security, Mazik; Padzak, the tutor at Selesis who demanded truth and had to escape or risk death, and Eyowenwi, the heir to Selesis who wonders if there will be a colony left to rule.
It's over forty years later, humans and dragons are collaborating to explore the planet but some dragons don't approve of the idea of humans spreading across Mithgryr and want to see them gone, permanently.
If you've not read the first trilogy, Oslac's Odyssey, now's the time to get stuck in, because there are many adventures ahead. This is just the beginning.
