What would you do if I told you the truth? Would you scorn me and steer clear of me? If I showed you my heart would you tear me apart Or join me in joy that I’m free?

What can I do to bring a breakthrough,

To help you to see that I am still me,

That nothing has changed and I am not strange?

Is there any way we will agree?

Can you open your mind and try to be kind?

I cast off my chains. Can you do the same?

Abandon your sneers and question your fears.

Don't leave me out in the rain.

I am your kin and I am your friend,

Hidden beside you and longing for truth.

Would you embrace me and let me be me?
