For those who are concerned, I am, so far, in no fire danger here. The air quality ranges from "moderate" to "poor" - so far - though when I take my morning walks I can feel it, and I do exercise indoors with the a/c on rather than opening doors & windows. Not much ash-fall here, though we had one afternoon of eerie yellow-brown light, and driving on the 101 the other day, I saw the lines of the Bobcat Fire creeping down the hills amid moving walls of smoke.
