Shifted Chapter One Preview!

Okay, so let's get this right out in the open. Hello. My name is Rheanne Jakubowski, and I am a terrible person. No really. I know I haven't been around in a while... okay in a long while. And I want to say that I'm sorry to all of you. You guys are the best, most beautiful, brilliant readers in the entire world, (Me, sucking up? Why yes sir, I am.), and frankly, I've been taking advantage of your awesomeness. I know I haven't been updating like I should, and a lot of you (and I do mean A LOT) have been messaging me like crazy wondering when the heck the next Mia book is coming out as it seems to have missed its deadline. (Oops! So sorry!) But I do have to say, in my own defense, that I have had a lot of unforseen complications catapult my way in the last several months; such as a broken elbow, sliced tendons in my right hand, homeschooling my kids, potty training an obnoxiously small blattered 2 year old, and the list goes on and on...

Not good enough excuses, you say?

Yeah, I didn't think so. I'd be pissed at me too.

 

So as for the question on everyone's minds: When is Shifted coming out, and when will it be available in my area? All I can say right now is that I'm working like crazy in the limited amount of time I have and it WILL be coming out soon. Yes, I do realize what a crappy answer that is, especially since I missed my original release date, but as an independant author with a tight scedule and alot on her plate, I promise it's the best I can do. Please, please, please, be patient, and I promise it will be worth the wait. I want this book to be the very best it can be, and I will do everything in my power to make sure it's even better than the first two. Which basically means that, as much as I really do want to make you guys happy: No rushing. Period. Sorry.

So as a very small and admittedly lousy peace offering, (I know you want the whole thing, dang it! I'm so sorry! I'm a terrible person! Please someone just hug me already?!), I'm releasing to you now the Prologue and Chapter One of Shifted in its still rough form, which you can find here or under the "Books" tab. Chapter 2 will also be available in a week or so, just to get you through untill the final release.
