Do What You Are Called to Do

You’ve got something to offer the world! Your existence is evidence that your purpose is necessary. Not everyone is going to believe in you and that’s okay.

You are on a mission to create a life you don’t need to take a vacation from. In order to get what you have never had, you’re going to have to do what you’ve never done before.

The principles you are learning through my weekly blog or from my latest book, Effective Living: Your Guide to Creating a Life You Don’t Need to Take a Vacation From, won’t work until you understand action on your part is required. You don’t become consistent until you are consistent. You don’t become disciplined until you are disciplined. You don’t become resilient until you are resilient. When you take action by applying these principles you are learning, you will put yourself on an intended journey to maximize your purpose.

Too many people think the life they want is just going to fall in their lap. You need to get this in your head: no one is coming to save you. No one is going to give you handouts. You really have to put in the work! If it were easy EVERYONE would do it.

Please do what you are called to do, knowing…

- Not everyone will understand

- Not everyone will approve

- Not everyone will applaud

- Not everyone will affirm

- Not everyone will celebrate

- Not everyone will support

- Not everyone will stay

- Not everyone will encourage

REGARDLESS, DO WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO DO!

Don’t focus on what you can’t do today. Do the things you can do. If we spend all our time thinking about what we have lost, we will not see what we have in our hands right now. God works with what we have, not with what we don’t have. The miracle is in your hands. If nobody supports you, you’ve got to be committed to putting in the work for yourself.

It takes strength, courage, tenacity, resilience, endurance, faith, hope and love to fulfill your calling. There is no easy path. You will encounter disappointment, failure, discouragement, hurt, betrayal, and loss, but if you keep going you will eventually win.

Remind yourself, “circumstances don’t determine my calling.” The challenge is to remain faithful as the conditions in which we work out our calling are constantly changing. An ever-changing environment does not change the calling. It’s up to us to do the hard work of fulfilling our calling wherever we are.

As you reflect on these words, I want you to remember that it is still possible for you to get some incredible results in 2020. You need to make a commitment to put in the work to make sure the rest of this year becomes the best of this year.
