Disappointed but not surprised to hear the views of ‘Gaia Man’ James Lovelock who turned 101 in recent weeks -you reach this grand old age- then announce effectively that cybernetics is a “lifeform too”…we may as well add the same for cancer!! (That it too is likewise ‘natural, desirable and beneficial’) -and don’t forget this is the same forever Establishment leaning man who had no qualms whatsoever advocating fracking at its inception, and who also tells us pandemics aren’t environmental at all -and whose words have harmed many other ecological struggles. It’s a pity that Lovelock and his legacy is destined to be that of a living breathing contradiction. We say: No to all unimpeded AI, and No to screaming dying egos
