Typewriter Series #3027 by Tyler Knott Gregson
I am a flower for the bees,
a place they can declare
hive and home,
I am the place of nectar,
the golden light
and the drip of honey
on some Summer’s day.
I am a petal on the surface
of the waters, I am
the rise and fall as it
finds its way to the sea.
I am swallow flight and dive
for supper, I am the call
from branch tip as rest comes
in the shining hours
before dusk. I am the
joyful sound that hides in
wingbeats, I am the
echo across a valley.
I am blossom, I am loam,
I am the stubbornness
of life, despite
it all.
