Things I’ve learnt this year

Things I’ve learnt this year:

1. Coffee tastes better when you’re drinking it alone.

2. Scented candles are always, always a good investment.

3. The calories don’t count if no one knows you’ve eaten 2 family sized tubs of chocolate ice cream in 5 days.

4. Crying is therapeutic – and that sounds depressing, but it’s really not.

5. It is always better to do the thing you were dreading and having anxiety about, confronting it, rather than procrastinating, because it feels SO good after it’s done.

6. The size of your group, the quality of their Instagram stories, the number of drinks and nights out – it doesn’t matter.

7. If you look up from your phone for just a minute, look at all the brave strong magnificent people around you, you’ll find inspiration everywhere.

8. Paperbacks are always better than pdfs. No question.

9. You must always buy the book – even if the book costs 300 bucks and your account balance is 350. You must always buy the book.

10. Time heals all wounds for our kind. No matter how grave the tragedy, how devastating the blow – time heals all wounds.
