Awesome Principal Defends Teachers in Response to Betsy DeVos

Well, here we go again, talking about current events on a book review platform. I have been staying silent about this for so long and I just can't anymore. I am so ashamed of the way our country is handling certain things.

One of them being the reopening of schools. This coming school year will be my sixth year in the classroom. I have taught in both private and public schools. I have taught students from as young as three to as old as nineteen. Never before have dreaded a school year. That is until this year.

Our so called political leaders are putting America's youth and educators at risk. With threats of cutting funding to backlash of uncertainly and anger from the American people, educators are feeling the wrath.

No, we don't know what the next school year is going to look like. Please stop asking. Just know that we will give it our all to educate your children in a safe manner.
