I write for myself first, but I would be a liar if I said that reviews don’t matter. For the indie author, reviews are crucial. Reviews are the social proof that our work is worth the reader’s time. I’m a small minnow (or whatever is even smaller than a minnow) in a very large pond. When I received the email today from IndieReader.com, I cried. I think I was relieved. Strange reaction, but relief is the best way to describe what I feel. Relief that the thoughts in my head were transferred into words that reached another soul.
