If you want to sell your books, collaborate, but don't annoy people

This is for my all friends on Goodreads. I noticed a bunch of invitations for groups, events, even messages about books, from people who are on my list and I don't know anything about them. If you invite me to your group, and I reject your request, this is my final NO. If you repeat it again, I will block you and flag you. This is not how professionals work. Remember what would Stephen King do? He would not bother people, that is sure.
Before you send a request to me, here are few rules:
My site is not a dating site. Don't ask me private questions and don't leave racy comments in my photos.
My site is not a charity. Don't ask me to purchase your stuff.
My site is not your promotional tool. If you want a promotion, pay for it in sites that are organized for that.
I don't need book recommendations from people I don't know. If I want to read something, I will choose a book.

I say this with good intention. I witnessed how people who treated others like that are rejected, blocked, and their books are not selling.
If you want to sell your books, collaborate with others, connect with authors, but don't force people. You need to see your common interests, then make a deal.
Thanks to authors who rated and reviewed my books. I appreciate you.
