An open letter to Jesse Ventura

Dear Mr. Ventura,

I saw your podcast on Joe Rogan. I know it’s a few years old now. In the video you were 65 years old, if I remember correctly.

If I should start by mentioning your impressive accomplishments, maybe that would help me to finally write this letter.

I have been in turmoil from the testimony you gave on that show.

You mentioned, on the podcast, that Horus had a similar bio to Jesus. I read about Horus from the writings of Plutarch and I do not see any similarities.

Are you sure that their bio’s were similar? I would just like to ask the source of your conclusion because I could not find any evidence for that.

I thought, maybe, that there were some hieroglyphics that were interpreted like that. But the early Greek writings are translatable directly into English.

Anyway, I thought if I wrote a public letter it would eventually reach you and then hopefully I could just delete it.

In the old days, I guess they would write ‘fan letters’ in the letter-carrier mail. Snail mail. I don’t have your address so please forgive my public demeanor and accept this as a ‘fan letter’.

I have learned that words can so easily be misinterpreted. It is not a pleasant aspiration to discover evil in others, and accordingly, I would never apply such a vicious word towards another ~ especially towards those with whom I would hope to share a sympathetic resonance whether distant or not.

That being said, I saw that the views for that podcast are in the millions and I thought, what if that statement from Jesse Ventura is not true? Wouldn’t he want to correct it?

Anyway, if you can let me know your source on this, I would be most thankful. And to summarize the point of this overly long letter: Who says that the life of Horus was similar to Jesus?

I see work the work of a so-named barrel maker from the mid 1800's. And what of similarities? Would it be surprising for infinite intelligence to be aware of the foibles and tendencies of homo sapiens prior to the delivery of the logos? And by logos I am also referring to the living language of Ancient Greek.

We can trace our language back maybe 5000 years? What we have before that are images. Even with Rosetta Stone we can see clearly the age of enlightened civilization has been brief.

And so why would compatriots laugh together at the ages of this or that reference?

I am hoping to grab your attention, Mr. Ventura, with a gentle tap. Not with boisterous and harsh communications. We know the pain of misdirected words only too well.

I will read this man of trade and return.

Update: I cannot make my way through the theories presented by that one. The immediate and sweeping assumptions are pure speculation. His own footnotes in French refute his own conclusions. He claims Horus to be the same as Ra and also the same as the Sphinx. Then we can make up anything from hieroglyphics.

This picture of a bird above three squiggly lines; this means the same as Horus walking on water. Okay. Anyone is free to enjoy such an interpretation but should not one be concerned that the interpretations (and they are many) that have been scattered upon the floor, are nothing more than falsehoods?

Falsehoods that have been swept away with the arrival of the divine gifts of clear human language and writing, for which we can be thankful as having been delivered in the fullness of time.

What about that one with a nom de plume of a similitude as Acharacter? Such being the only other I found, and I am reluctant to repeat either of their names. Even I might be tempted to not make mention of their names at all, as to remove the risk of bringing attention to their work. This one published in 2009 may be safely and accurately categorized as speculative fiction.

summary

I will not be so hateful as to use the word irony, yet I would be lazy and brutish not to mention the dynamics of your testimony.

Of all people, even yourself, twice the man of many; to have suffered the indignity of false witness against yourself. — As you detailed with emotion, of course in reference to that American serviceman who has since passed from tragic events that unfolded at a gun range.

Yes, that had to hurt. Not from malicious intent I would be easily convinced to agree — rather, from the false testimony of those who needed to create an explanation where none was necessary.

Should I divert to such an explanation, — that would be beyond the scope of a simple letter that intends to bear little more than a salutation and a gentle encouragement.

I pray that you are well, Jesse Ventura. I await your opportunity to express a new tack towards both the ancient Egyptians, Horus and or others from that culture; — and those who saw a great light during the period circa 33 A.D.

Blessings to you. May you remain steadfast and strong with the integrity of character that is valued both by yourself and all those who love truth and the pursuit thereof.
