So the internet rose up and defeated SOPA and PIPA only to learn a few days later

that the government could do what those laws gave it the power to do all along. Should we be shocked? Not if we are over ten years old. The government, you see, can do WHATEVER it wants, WHENEVER it wants. The laws are numerous enough and vague enough that they can be interpreted anyway the government wants to interpret them. They are like the Bible that way.

But is it really a big deal? So what if it's now a little bit harder to get commercial-free Doctor Who. You can still find it on Pirate Bay and TVU. The government will probably go after these sites some day, but it won't really matter. There will be other sites right behind it. They're like drug dealers. Throw one in jail and another comes along to fill the newly empty shoes.

The will of the people is greater than any law.
