The heroes in my head

A lot of you have asked me if there'll be more books to the "Men Who Walk The Edge of Honor" series after "A Perfect Storm," which is out in April. (March 27th on-sale date.)

A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #4) by Lori Foster

Actually, in October 2012, I start a whole new series. :-D I don't have a series title yet, but there will be 4 books (that I know of so far) with new releases coming out around April/May and Sept/Oct each year, with Harlequin putting reissues out around that, usually in Feb and Nov.

The heroes for the new series are already in my head, and causing mischief! They'll be Logan in "Run the Risk," out in Oct. (I'll share that cover soon!)

Reese in "Bare It All."

Rowdy in, "Getting Rowdy."

And lastly, a book for Dash. No title yet.

Logan is a police detective, and he hooks up with Rowdy's sister in the first book. Dash is Logan's brother. And Reese is a good friend to Logan, also a detective.

I'm way excited about this series, because I'm way excited about the heroes. They're... yummy! At least, I think so. I hope readers will agree!

And... as a small tease, because I know you guys keep up with characters from one series to another...
You know Alice, who was in Trace's book, "A Trace of Fever" ???
Well, she'll be in Reese's book, "Bear it All."

But I think that's the only connection there'll be to the previous series. I don't expect Dare, Trace, Jackson or Spencer to crop in the new series. Course, the characters always do just as please, so I won't swear to anything. Just know I'm not anticipating that.

Any questions, let me know - and thank you all!
Being a writer wouldn't be nearly as much fun without such awesome readers.
:-)

Hey Kathleen,
No, but I knew he had that name. When I get to writing Rowdy's book, I'll probably mention it in some way. I just loved the name, and after he became Rowdy Yates to me... I remembered why the name felt familiar. ;-)

I LOVE that song. ;-) Thank you.
I'm sure there will be reissues by Kensington and Berkley too, but I don't know about any of those this early. Since I'm currently writing for Harlequin, they keep me apprised of my entire schedule. ;-)

Thanks!

I soooo want to get back to the L.L. stories! I'm hoping I'll get to write a new one in the next year. I'm trying to build that into my writing schedule, but I'm staying so busy with romance (my bread and butter) that it isn't easy!

Hugs to you.

I have the cover for "RUN THE RISK," but I can't share it yet. Soon, I hope! I like it, but the guy on the cover seems a little slicker, maybe more metro-sexual, than my other mega-Alpha hunks. He has a GREAT body, and he looks good, so I'm fine with it.
And I suppose it is good to keep a different "look" for each of the series, you know?

Can't wait to share! LOL

message 13: by Lisa (new)

Lisa a different look is good as long as the sexy is there lol

message 14: by Lori (new)

Lori Foster He's sexy... and I got the "hairy chest" I always request. LOL. That was my only complaint with the Buckhorn reissues - slick shaved or waxed chests. Yuck.

Sandy Thrower I love the hairy-chested guys, especially when there's a nice little happy trail that goes with it. ~~sigh~~

message 17: by Lisa (new)

Lisa You probably already know that I have NO problem whatsoever, especially after the guys on the covers of the Men Who Walk The Edge of Honor series. Yum. And the Best book trailer video ever. Ever.

So looking forward to your other stuff, Lori.

message 18: by Tatiana (new)

Tatiana That new series sounds exciting - can't wait! Also glad to hear about the benefit books - I always look forward to those! Great reads for a great cause!

Lori Foster Sandy wrote: "I love the hairy-chested guys, especially when there's a nice little happy trail that goes with it. ~~sigh~~"

Me too, Sandy! I don't mind if guys are naturally light on the chest hair, but a shaved or waxed chest, to me, is just not masculine. It took some doing, convincing the-powers-that-be that readers LIKE chest hair as much as I do. ;-)
LOL

Thanks Lisa. I think so too! LOVE that book trailer. LOL. Harlequin will be making a new book trailer for me with the new series - can't wait to see it and share it!
I'll have a new trailer for "A PERFECT STORM," too, but that's one I'm paying for, not a gift from my publisher. LOL

THANK YOU! I *love* organizing the benefit books. The new June book will benefit the AAF - Animal Adoption Foundaiton - as a local no-kill animal shelter. It's a terrific place!

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Ashley This is so exciting!!!! I can't wait to read The Perfect Storm, but I know the new series will be just as great. All of your books are amazing and I have no doubt that I will quickly fall in love with these characters. Jackson Savor was definitely my favorite character so I hope to find one of those men is similar to him :)

message 32: by Lori (new)

Lori Foster I never know if a reader will consider a new character similar to a different character. LOL. But I do know that Logan is super sexy, if that helps. ;-)
I've got my fingers and toes crossed that readers enjoy "A Perfect Storm," AND the new series launching this year. Hugs to all!

message 38: by Suzy Manning (new)

Suzy Manning can't wait for new Lori Foster books. As far as sooth versus hairy chests--Don't like shaved or waxed, but firmly believe that man was not meant to be a fur bearing animal. Too much is yuck.

LOL. True, Suzy. I read a Catherine Coulter novel (loved it - good stuff!) where the hero was talking about his time in service, and he said a higher up was so hairy that "...the women could run their fingers through his hair and not stop until they reached the souls of his feet." LOL
I've always loved that line.

Hope you enjoy the new book!
