As I said before, I’m embarking (sometimes) on a new challenge to write shorter works that still have that gut punch feeling, that emotional avalanche that is relatable instantly and in short form.  I’m excited to try to show that short stuff doesn’t have to be cliche and overdone, that it can be art, too.  Who knows if it’ll work, but it’ll be fun to try, here we go, this is:

a sock to the stomach
before all that dancing

Here, call this climax
of spontaneous
persuasion,
call it foreplay
to come down all
in one.
