Did you like Twilight? really? Hmmm, well I'm here to tell you that Robin Renee Ray's Bloodbreeders series makes the Twilight series looks like child's play. Robin has written the best new series I have read in a long time! The journey of R...enee Crocker begins on her family farm and takes you on an adventure you won't soon forget! I suggest reading Living in Darkness if you haven't already, because a little birdie told me the second book in the series is coming out very soon and it's better than the first! Bloodbreeders Living in Darkness: Not once in her life did farm girl Renee Crocker, imagine she would encounter a world found only in the minds of myth-seeking men. Although the things they sought were not always unheard of in the 1930's in other parts of the world, life was just too harsh in the small Texas community, to pay mind to anything other than raising a healthy crop to ensure the survival of one's family. But late one evening during supper, a stranger comes knocking on the door of the Crocker family farm house and is invited inside.
It doesn't take long for Renee to discover a great number of things that people in her neck of the woods couldn't even contemplate. The dark of night takes on a whole new meaning, and the once vulnerable young country woman finds herself struggling to survive in a world that demands she live forever in darkness.
Arrival of the Prophecy: Anthony Michelle had no idea that he would find the other half of his werewolf soul in the body of a woman who was afraid of her own shadow, not the qualities a King searched for when looking for his Queen. Danny Gilmore may have found the love of his life, but he also discovers himself locked in a coffin with a new set of fangs. D'nae Creel, his bubbly Texan sweetheart, travels to his homeland of Scotland to visit his grave only to learn that not only is it empty, but that her Danny walks as only the undead can. They are unknowingly intertwined in a two hundred year old vampire's quest for revenge, who will stop at nothing until a certain Gilmore pays for his forefather's crimes.
D'nae's love for her Dark Knight cannot be swayed, but circumstances have her balancing on the edge of insanity. Detective Grady O'Brian works his way into her life, seeking the same thing as those who are creating a murderous trail to taunt Danny into making himself known. D'nae's life is twisted into a world of undeniable disbelief, one that could take her Dark Knight from her forever... not to mention everything else she could lose.
