Simultaneous Books

So, it seems that I'm going to be writing two concurrent books with a similar plotline from different perspectives as the first two books in my series. Book 1: Khioneus. Book 2: Khyonessa.
Usually, first person books can't have a lot of dramatic tension since the book is told from the perspective of the main character and the main character only. But, since I'm going to switch viewpoint for the second book while telling the same story, I can up the dramatic tension by revealing things in Khyonessa's book that weren't revealed in Khi's.
I'm not going to write the rest of the books like this, I don't think, since it would be rather difficult, but I do think I'll switch viewpoints between Khi and Nessa for book 3 and on.
A bonus of book 2 being told from Nessa's viewpoint is that I, as a writer, get to experience writing about a magical land from the perspective of an inhabitant of the magical land, and the readers get to see what life is like as a princess in a magical land.
