Enjoy Your Yard

As Summer rapidly approaches and we are spending more time at home, it makes sense to use some of that time at home to make your yard more enjoyable. What things might you do so you can enjoy your garden? Let’s look at maintenance items and then new projects.

Since Weed Your Garden Day is June 14, that would be a place to start. Weeds do not seem to take long to overtake a yard. There are a few methods to use to rid your yard of weeds.. First, you could do it by hand. It is slow going; however, you have a good chance of getting the weeds and their roots. The next method would be using a hoe. Much faster and it stirs up the dirt, sort of a mini rototiller. Then there is the Attila the Hun method: Round Up, or similar weed poison.
