The events of this past week have been devastating. Heartbreaking. Black lives matter. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow. I want to be an ally. Not just one who makes a social media post, but one who takes the grief I have and turns it into concrete action. An action that does not only live this week, but one that I continue to do, day after day, the rest of my life. I am listening, and I am learning, and I have work to do. And for my white friends who may be wondering what to do and how to help…there are a multitude of resources available, and we need to do the work to find them, soak in them, look inward at our own lives, and turn that knowledge into action.
