An Alternate (and Different) Site for Free Kindle Books
As I’ve mentioned before in prior posts, there are many other sites for free Kindle books than the Amazon website (shocking, I know!). One of those is called the Internet Sacred Text Archive.
Website: www.sacred-texts.com
This one, to me, is a little strange. They bill themselves as the largest freely available archive of online books about religion, mythology, folklore and the esoteric on the Internet. The site is dedicated to religious tolerance and scholarship, and claims to have the largest readership of any similar site on the web.
While you will find a lot about major religions and religions you have never heard of before…for me, when I was on there once I got lost in their Nostradamus section…
Once you click on one of the books and read its description and want it, you can download the Kindle version to your computer and then transfer it to your computer.
Once you have downloaded it to your computer, you will need to transfer it over to your Kindle. It’s pretty easy, and you can click here or type in http://smarturl.it/xfer into your web browser for my instructions on how to do it – this is the same guide I charge 99 cents for in the Amazon Kindle store, but you can read it for free by clicking the link
Enjoy exploring!
Michael
