WHAT I AM READING NOW - 1ST ED.

One of the most important things that I spend my time on is absorbing the advice and experiences of others. There’s no better way to do that than to read. I read books every day, whether it’s non-fiction, a memoir, or some other form of teaching that is helping me be a better version of myself in this moment. The way I make sure to read regularly is by having a book at the ready in every different format. I read physical books. I read ebooks , and I listen to books on Audible. Sometimes, I even read the summary of a book if I don’t think I’ll have time for the whole thing with an app called Blinkist. I’m usually reading 3 books at a time: a page-a-day physical book, a Kindle book, and an Audio book.On Kindle: Secrets of Six-Figure Women: Surprising Strategies to Up Your Earnings and Change Your Life by Barbara Stanny
Reading books like Secrets of Six-Figure Women is one of the many times I like to glean information from an author who is doing the work to educate us and get us all closer to picking up the financial savvy we need to thrive.Whether you want to make six figures, already make six figures, or never even thought to dream of making six figures, pick up a book that will simply give you an idea of what that life looks like for another woman so you can decide whether it’s a path that’s right for you.On Audio:  The Untethered Soul: The Journey beyond yoursel f by Michael A SingerThis is a book about your spirit, your soul. It is a book that about identifying yourself as who you are on outside surface level vs deep inside.

Paperback Page-A-Day: The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living  by Ryan HolidayGet used to seeing this one! I have been reading this book every day for the last 497 days. A daily dose of stoicism with Ryan Holiday’s best selling book is one of the ways I kick off my morning routine. I feel it balances my thinking, judgments and level-headedness as I encounter the rest of the day’s obstacles. Last year as I read it everyday, I just made a point to highlight the things that resonated with me in that moment. This year as I reread The Daily Stoic it’s nice to see those highlights, but even nicer to find that there is more I have learned from the passages over my time of studying this philosophy, so everyday of 2020 I have been writing my interpretation of the days passages underneath it.
