Brithdir Mawr

An account of the creation of Brithdir Mawr stone ring in south west Wales, taken from the construction diary of member Ros Briagha. Constructed using traditional techniques without the use of heavy machinery. Brithdir Mawr stone circle, on Brithdir Mawr farm near Carn Ingli in the Welsh Preseli Hills. These stones were found buried in the field, and were pulled up with rope, wood, pulleys etc. Possibly a Bronze Age circle that was destroyed, but rebuilt over the course of two years, using traditional methods.
