and marvel at what strife can build.

joy was in the transformation,
and though you were before
you were, you became it
whole end entirely,
mother,
origin of the universe.

Everything we have,
all the pieces we treasure
and hold close to bosom and beat,
born from struggle, from
supernova and noiseless
eruption.  

Mother before you were one,
calm quiet before the light
that would set the whole world
growing.
