Rainbow Snippets April 26th, 2020

Happy Sunday everyone! We had a very rainy couple of days so I hope we dry out a little bit before the next round of water falls from the sky. My hubby and I planted lots of seeds for flowers that I hope will grow and bloom to draw butterflies and bees.

What is Rainbow Snippets? It’s a group of LGBT+ authors who post six sentences (or more) from a current WIP, published work or even something they’ve read that they want to rave about. Click on the link below the rainbow to be transported to a place of wonder where you will find tasters of everything from sweet romance, to hot and steamy, to fantasy and sci-fi.

This week I’m sticking with one of my more dramatic works…Complications. First written by hand in 1999.

Blurb:

Josh is a family man, a good doctor and a man in love… with his best friend. All is well until Greg discovers how he feels. Sadly, he doesn’t feel the same way.

Heartbroken, Josh finds love elsewhere, with Glenn, a much younger man. They have a whirlwind romance, until one flawed decision threatens to tear them apart forever.

With all the complications in his love life, will this doctor find a cure to mend his broken heart?

Josh is in love with his bff Greg, but Greg doesn’t feel the same way. The problem? They’re both married…to women…with kids. Now the wives know too.

Greg pulled away slightly. “What are you getting at?  That since you’ll be single, you think we can now hook up?  Sorry, dude. I’m not into you like that, or any other guy.”

Josh scowled and stood up. “Whatever. Look, I told you everything. I’m in love with you, and I’m going to be single again. My love for you isn’t something I can control.”

“I’m sorry, but I’m not in love with you, though I almost wish I could be. But as honest as I can be with you, I’m just not! I’ll be your friend and confidant, but not that!”

Available At: Smashwords

This isn’t going the way Josh hoped…
