Progress isn't easy

I finished my book entitled The Gemini Keys and was all ready to self publish it. But, now I have an agent so I can't just self publish, I have to run everything by him.

I don't mind doing that. He is savvy and fair and I know he has my best interests at heart. But, he not only asked me to not self publish the book, he asked me to take down the first book in that series- Circle of Seven: The Immortal King.

I've started the process of removing that first book, but now I have yet another series on the "wait-and-see" list while my agent hopes to shot this series, too.

I apologize to those who are looking for that book. It's slowly disappearing. For now.

Carol L Cridge I have that book Circle of Seven: the Immortal King. Glad I got it when I did. Loved it. I didn't know a publisher had that power. I write for fun- also self publish and I do not consider myself an author by any means, I just have a hobby. Not sure I want anyone to have control over what I write, or how I put it "out there." If I am not mistaken don't the publishers pick the covers of the books too? Do you have any say in that process?

They do pick the cover. I commissioned that one, but I'm sure it will change.
It's really a trade off when you decide whether you're going indie or traditional. Both have something to offer and both have challenges.
I hope to do both. If a traditional publisher doesn't want to publish my book then I'll self-publish.
What have you written? I'd love to know!

I am under CL Cridge, I wrote "One headlight: A bad following," than "One headlight: Out of darkness" My third in that series should be done soon, probably mid July.,.."One headlight: All for family." The other one I wrote was "Excuse my ill-humor, I learned it from you," AND I know it seems like I have a lot of time on my hands, but I really don't. I work full-time as a nurse here in PA. It was always a dream of mine to write and after some personal tragedy I decided to try it again. Without the encouragement of a wonderful lady I believe you know, I may never haver tried..I am sure if anyone read my books they would say, Oh Lord, keep nursing!!! Ha ha, I do it to keep busy and express myself. I love creating and telling stories. Getting lost there, sort of helps. Thank you for asking btw. Have a lovely night Sheila.
