Want to read the first three chapters of THE LIES THAT BIND?

Hi All!

I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this scary, sad, and surreal time. One of the only silver linings for me these days has been the extra time to read. I know not all of you have that luxury—and that some of you are on the front lines of this battle. To those of you doing so, I want to say thank you; you are heroes. To the rest of you sheltering in place and looking for things to do, I would love to share some updates about the release of my new novel THE LIES THAT BIND.

The book will be out on June 2, but if you preorder by June 1, you will receive a sneak peek of the first three chapters plus a digital GIRLS’ NIGHT IN kit. The downloadable kit includes a playlist of songs made by the main character Cecily Gardner, instructions for DIY hair and face masks, a special summer cocktail recipe, and games to play (virtually!) with your book club and friends. To receive these bonus materials, simply preorder the book and complete this form: www.emilygiffin.com/the-lies-that-bin...

Although I was so looking forward to announcing the cities for my summer book tour, it sadly doesn’t look like that will be possible. I will, however, be hosting a series of fun online book events (with some very special guests!)—so stay tuned on my social media pages for those announcements and RSVPs, as well as more giveaways.

Until then, thank you so much to all who have posted about THE LIES THAT BIND, preordered it, and generally supported me (and my fellow authors). It means so much. Hang in there, everyone!

Love,
Emily

Carol Rennie I find this author disgraceful and a racist. Cannot support an author who behaves like this. I'm sorry I just can't.

KB Hey WTH is racist about this? Nowhere is race mentioned nor implied, nor does it have anything to do with race.
Please don't cry "wolf (racism)" when it isn't because you'll lose your credibility when you need to call out ACTUAL racism. Thank you!

The author launched a disgusting and unfounded campaign against Meghan Markle. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, Emily Giffin's behavior is disturbing and littered with racist dog whistles. If she is going to use her platform to spread malicious hate, she is not an author that I want to support.

If only these people would take their own advice instead of making rude comments about someone they don't know. Sadly, it's just easier to call someone "racist" instead of scrolling by an opinion with which you disagree. Emily Giffin is far from racist, but these crazies won't be convinced otherwise. They've been told that any criticism of Meghan Markle = racism, so that's their mantra. And for those claiming the author is part of the MAGA movement, that proves just how little you know about her.
