Spring Reading 2020

woman holding an e-reader or Kindle

I’ve never had so much time to read and an overwhelming number of incredible books to choose from. I’ve also never struggled this much to concentrate. Anybody else feeling like the stress and monotony of the stay-at-home order is impacting their reading life?

I refuse to let this pandemic rob me of the joy of getting lost in a compelling story. In no particular order, here’s a list of the books I’m currently reading and loving this spring.

the book cover for Hadley Beckett's Next Dish by Bethany TurnerMy friend Bethany’s new book releases in May. Click here to pre-order and read the first 3 chapters today.

a positive review from Publisher's Weekly about the book Feels Like FallingKristy Woodson Harvey’s Feels Like Falling arrives April 28, 2020.
I’m almost finished reading my copy and it is delightful!

The book cover of The Country Guesthouse by Robyn CarrI just started this. Robyn Carr’s writing style is so captivating! Such a fun premise for a novel.

The book Minor Dramas and Other Catastrophes by Kathleen West and a bouquet of pink flowers in a vase on a white table. This is a fantastic debut. I love the characterization and the content is so timely.

Cottage at the Beach by Lee Tobin McClain in a woman's hand in front of a bookshelfThe first book in Lee Tobin McClain’s new series is wonderful. I’m already smitten with the hero and his dog King.

One audio book I’m loving

The audio book cover of Michelle Obama's book BecomingI’ve heard high praise for Becoming so I purchased the audio format. Sooo good! She’s an excellent narrator and I’m fascinated by her story.

That’s the list of books I’m currently reading and loving + one audio book I’m delighted to listen to in this stay-at-home season.
