Come green,
whispers robin on branch,
early to arrive,
come green,
I echo
and hope she is not
confused.

What hope
we attach to symbols
of our longing,
what promise
to the pieces
that remind us of our
faith.

Red breasted
and still
she carries Spring
under her
wings.
