Self-repost series time! Side note: have any of you been doing these? DO! I was trying to start a Thing! Anyway, going back to the warm fuzzies theme this time! This fic is set post series 4, but doesn’t go much into any of that crap (lol), apart from the one constant of any post-series 4 fic I write, which is John apologizing. Profoundly. This is a slow burn, slow build, and goes on into the first two weeks of their relationship as they explore slowly, figuring out their sexual relationship as well as the rest of it, plus there are still cases in there, plus HEAPS of good food and quiet domestic times. It’s also the first and so far only time I’ve ever written John in first person, but don’t let that stop you if it’s not your thing! It just gave me a lot of fun time to show the constant, constant horniness and profanity of his inner monologue, lol. There’s also a companion story to this one, set about 18 years later. It’s about Rosie at age 19, in university and essentially coming of age, which I had a lot of fun writing. That story is called Rosa Felicia. Side note the second: sometimes I just invent restaurants, their menus, etc, but all of the restaurants in this story are real ones, and those are real menu items. :)
