Australia is weirdly clean. This is not a criticism in any way; just a comment. It is strange, though. Not only was there virtually no litter in a big city like Melbourne, THERE WEREN'T ANY GARBAGE CANS. My husband and I pondered this and eventually decided that Melbourne residents must...well, they must just take all their garbage with them. Big Mac wrappers, cigarette butts, empty Coke cans, dog poop. Which is nice, if odd. Thus, "weirdly clean".
