Life right now is a blur, a strange and confusing haze where all days blend into one long day, all hours fall away and breakfast time becomes dinner time and we aren’t quite sure how. We miss the arms of others, miss laughter not shared on a tiny screen, we miss adventure and the anticipation of first steps off long flights. But. Oh there is a but, we have so much still. We have connection with so many we may have lost it with, we have Time, maybe for the first time in years. We have tiny miniature miracles hiding all around us, a billion chances to notice what goes uncelebrated. We have compassion, in spades, as we distance ourselves from the lives we knew to try to help save others. We have kindness, a billion examples of it all around us, a trillion opportunities to give what we have away. We have love, as for once, maybe ever, the whole planet is experiencing the same thing at the same time, showing us that no matter how it looks, we are all the same. Worry not about the blur, the softened edge haze of all this, just breathe and find the beauty.
