Self-repost series, next up! So, I don’t know if anyone is even reading these, but I just figure, hey, if anyone needs a random reading suggestion popping up on their dash, here you go. :P This story is definitely one of my more popular ones, fuzzy happy feelings abound (by the end, at least!) and pretty much everything works out as it should. This was my first ever attempt at writing a known trope, so why not the classic: fake couple for a case. In this one, Lestrade needs Sherlock and John to pose as a couple at a retreat centre that does counselling for same-sex male couples. Sherlock and John rather obviously came to mind, and suddenly they’re stuck in a situation where they get some real, and very much needed therapy. There’s also a lot of good food in this story, and a record number of original characters, who I really liked writing! Bonus: if you particularly like this story, it also has a sequel that follows up with some of the same OCs!
Author: SilentAuror
Title: Bridging the Ravine
Ship/genre: Sherlock/John, romance (POV: Sherlock)
Length: 58,931 words (3 chapters)
Summary: Sherlock and John go undercover at Ravine Valley, a therapy centre for same-sex male couples in an investigation into a possible human trafficking ring. As they pose as a couple and fake their way through the therapy sessions for the sake of the case, it quickly becomes difficult to avoid discussing their very real issues. Set roughly nine months after series 4.
Notes/warnings: It’s in the archive notes, but I’ll just say it right up front so that it doesn’t take anyone by unwelcome surprise: in this story, Rosie has tragically died in an accident. It happened about six months before this story takes place, and only gets very lightly touched on in this first story. The sequel revisits the subject in the more detail.
