Recently, Ive been doing proofreads for a few author friends of mine. Considering that hiring an editor can sometimes be out of budget, this is a popular way for indie authors to get corrections for their work without breaking the bank. It definitely takes a good portion of time, but swapping stories with authors can be beneficial for both parties.
