Bethany As a retired elementary school librarian in Kentucky who has seen librarian's positions shifted to technology or even cut, I can't imagine how those students are managing. This article breaks my heart when we spend so much time testing for literacy and yet to have the heart of school literacy treated like a second-class citizen is beyond my understanding. As much as this pandemic has us all on edge, I hope that those in charge of schools and literacy will become more like-minded when it comes to the importance of our school libraries and their leaders, our librarians.
