It’s been an especially difficult week

[image error]It’s been a hard week for everyone. In the case of my family, there’s been the extra stress of losing someone important nine days ago, which is especially difficult in a situation that means a standard funeral won’t be possible.

That means Part 12 of the New Year Novella, The End, and the New Beginning, isn’t as long as I’d intended. My apologies that it doesn’t end at an ideal point, and yes, I’m fully aware of some echoes of reality.

The truth is that Jarra is a very different person to me, but the Earth Girl trilogy contained a lot of echoes of my reality. As I often say, after a long period where my background illness meant I couldn’t leave the house, I started writing the story of a girl who couldn’t leave this planet.
