Visa to Paradise by Cécile Rischmann. A Review

We are told - never judge a book by its cover. In this case, the cover is enticing. It is the title that is misleading. Paradise here is not so much a place as a state of mind. There are lost souls praying for redemption, Angels bringing healing. There is also a serpent who tempts an archangel. In the end, Paradise is regained and alls well that ends well.
This is my interpretation of the plot confusing the biblical version of the Garden of Eden with Milton’s PARADISE LOST. This novel is a romance where Paradise could be found in drugs, in prayers but mostly in human love. The author’s strength lies in her ability to make her characters credible. She also manages to bring together the multiple plots.
In the end, each reader takes away from the novel what personal experience brings to it. So spend a happy few hours in a Paradise of your own. Romance is the best escape from frightening headlines.
