I mentioned that both Wyatt and Boone had done some acting. We never intended for them to become actors. (For those of you outside LA, it’s something that just happens here. It’s ridiculous.)
Anyway, last year Boone was cast in a pretty rad sci-fi/horror limited series thing. The production company’s plan was to release it on Facebook Watch, but I have no idea if that ever happened. No spoilers, but Boone got to play a creepy kid. So, naturally, he was super stoked about it. Those pics were taken on set.
We told them we’d never force them to act or audition or whatever—this should be fun and if it stops being fun they should stop. But, we also told them if they’re going to do it they can’t half-ass it. They have to put in the work because, when making a film or a show or even a commercial, people count on each other to deliver their best. (Boone has since cooled on the idea of acting and is now focusing on music, but Wyatt’s still enjoying it.)
That’s our thing with most endeavors: Try it if you want, but give it your best. If you decide it’s not for you, move on.
Sounds simple, but it’s advice I wish I’d been given at their age.
