Living in Greece definitely has its pros (sunny weather, amazing islands, great food etc.) but it has its flaws, too, especially when it comes to finding a decent bookstore with a plethora of options. Because the physical bookstores here don’t have as many books as I want them too, or to be exact they stick mostly to Greek titles instead of having many international ones, too, the only solution for me is to turn to online bookstores.
And that is great. Most of the times…

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I mostly shop from BookDepository because shipping can be crazy and they offer free, international shipping. I have also purchased books in the past from Amazon, but only when I couldn’t find a certain edition in BookDepository or when I was in a hurry in order to participate in a readathon or something like that.
The service I’ve been receiving from both of these companies had been great, until very recently. Back in December 2019, I pre-ordered Chain of Gold, by Cassandra Claire, the first book in The Last Hours trilogy, because a) I love the Shadowhunters’ world and b) I knew this would be one of the most anticipated releases of 2020.
Fun fact: I haven’t received my pre-order yet.
