We’re products of genetic mutation.
Proof, that good can rise out of a mess.

Evolution favours inheritance of traits that optimise success.
A mistake once viewed up close
May one day be seen as reason, and purpose,
A better choice. Even hope.

Evolution says expression of your phenotype
Is part genotype, part environment.
So I don’t have to grow up to be like you,
My options aren’t run out or spent.
