Book Review: Superman, Volume 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth

Superman, Volume 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth Superman, Volume 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth by Brian Michael Bendis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

While Bendis' take on Action comics goes with Superman battling arsonist, his first volume of Superman goes big scale as the entire planet is drawn into the Phantom Zone.

This is an extraordinarily good first volume. Bendis really does build an intriguing tale but what ultimately sells it is some of the best art I've seen in the Big 2 in many a month. There are some just gorgeous pictures which really elevate an already good story to a must-read.
