Wonder

If my honesty seems suddenly out of the blue,
If the words I write are a surprise,
If they resonate, sound alarms, or strike a chord,
If you’re wondering, yes. It’s to you this applies.

For a moment I imagined something magical,
And that moment ceased far too soon.
If you’re wondering why I’m choosing now to divulge,
Don’t they say speak of wonder, once in a blue moon?
