Maven’s Camera Usability Score - Methodology



Being that I am the only one on Youtube who reviews usability, and at the suggestion of a subscriber, I have devised my own camera usability score methodology. Here is how it works:



Here is how the point system is broken down:



Maven Usability Score Start at 65



Main Features:



Primary Settings - 1 Button Press

Secondary Settings - 2 Button Presses

Tertiary Settings - 3 Button Presses

Quarternary Settings - 4 Menu Presses





Monitor Considerations

Touch Operation & Focus Monitor +2

Non- Obscured Front Facing Monitor +2

Tilty Monitor +1







Menu Considerations



Touch Menus +2

Homongenous Menu Systems )(Like Sony) -2

Buffer Lockout 1, or -2 depending on length after full burst.





Ergonomics



Ergonomic Grip

Eye Relief +1

Pinched Finger with certain lenses -2



Joystick (in addition to directional pad)

Other duplicate controls +2



Power around Shutter +1





Functional Bonuses
