CHIP KIDD & GEOFF SPEAR TO APPEAR AT FANFAIRE 2020 (NYC) TO DISCUSS “THE ART OF LASTING IMPRESSIONS: DYNAMIC DUO”.

In this hilarious, fast-paced talk, designer Chip Kidd explains the long creative partnership with photographer and collaborator Geoff Spear.

This dynamic duo have worked on literally thousands of shots together for dozens of book jackets and projects like Batman Collected, Batman Animated, Only What’s Necessary: the Art of Peanuts, Shazam! The Golden Age of the World’s Mightiest Mortal, Mythology and Marvelosity: The Marvel Comics Art of Alex Ross. As Chip Kidd explains, “Geoff is my Superman, the Robin to my Batman, or more accurately the Ren to my Stimpy, except our hare-brain schemes actually work.” Moderated by Charles Kochman, editorial director at Abrams ComicArts and frequent partner in creative crime.
