How Is My Xmas Kindle Working Out for Me?

In a word: just fine. Okay, so that's two words. The point is I like my Kindle. I'm still getting oriented to using it. For instance, you can password it. Sounds like a good idea. I also like how lightweight my Kindle is for portability and use. There's little or no extra eyestrain that I feared there'd be.

Kindles are still a bit pricey. $70.00, I think it was. This year Santa only left it under our tree (okay, so it's a metaphorical tree since Frannie, our young and energetic feline, likes to use it for a trapeze). I'd love to see the Kindle fall in price. I'm not sure where the sweet spot is: $49.99? $24.99? Maybe this year it will.

I'm blowing through my ebook budget too quickly. And it's only January 7th. Maybe it's because I can read faster on Kindle. At any rate, here's still the bottom line: I just don't see Kindle ever replacing hardcover and softcover books. Over due time, I believe I'll just regard a Kindle as a media delivery system for whatever book I choose to read.

Happy reading to you!
